Ruby’s Closet is home to a gorgeous upcoming range of uber-chic products created by designer
Rachel Chippendale. The Ruby’s Closet product family is rich in design and flair, deliciously crafted to
make the everyday tasks of women around the world a love-to-do treat.
Rachel began designing jewellery in 1999 travelling to over 20 countries between 2002 and 2007,
exploring her passion for working with and learning from talented artisans and designers around the
world to create beautiful accessories that told a story.
After scouring the globe for the most unique components for an upcoming jewellery range, Rachel
identified a gap in the market for a simple and effective jewellery organiser that kept the bling we have all
been accumulating separated, untangled and easy to access. Ruby’s Closet launch product, Bling
Hangit, was born.
In 2007 Rachel patented the Bling Hangit and registered the design in it’s various forms. The concept
and design went on to win over $12 000 worth of prizes in the Australian NSW BizStar Competition later
that year.
Today Bling Hangit has been seen in an array of media, with Rachel’s story featured in national
newspapers and radio stations in Australia, and on blogs and websites around the world. In September
2009 Ruby's Closet received a runner-up prize in the inaugural Essentially For Women business
awards recognising the achievements made since the company's launch.
Bling Hangit has gone on to be stocked in over 500 gift, homewares, fashion and department stores in
Australia and New Zealand including six leading retail chains.
The product was selected as one of only two submissions from a pool of over one hundred adopted by
Taiwan’s premier television shopping channel, MOMO, and was launched into the USA in September
as well in Canada, throughout Europe and the UK.
Ruby’s Closet launch product has been an undoubted success story, with thousands of women
indulging in tangle free jewellery that makes matching gorgeous accessories to chic outfits oh so fun
and easy.
Rachel draws her inspiration from the talented designers and artisans she has met in her travels, from
Brazil, Chile and Argentina, to France, Morocco, Qatar, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Italy and everywhere
in between...everyday people with extraordinary talent bringing their dreams to life.
